Broom GPs, 21-07

An early afternoon visit to Broom with the kid produced some decent photo opportunities. We were out for well over an hour and it didn't rain! The next few days look as though we have finally left winter behind us..........just in time for Autumn. I collected a couple of micros that need to be investigated further.

Six-spot Burnet

Louie found two of these feeding in Trefoil flowers. It's the first time I've seen them at this site.

 Marbled White
One of at least ten, found between the lakes in the meadow area. They seemed to prefer the flowers of Marsh Thistle.

 Meadow Brown

 Small Skipper
Really nice to see so many butterflies. Though I have noticed a distinct lack of both Peacock and Small Tortoiseshell.

Marbled Beauty
Back home in the garden, the only new moth for the year was this; found by the kids in the front garden.
