The Beetles.....05/04

Nicrophorus humator
Yet again a poor night in the trap......for moths anyway. A fairly clear night with a 10mph S wind and temperature still a little low as it dropped below 6°C at times. But for some reason it seems to be a magnet for Black Carrion Beetles or Nicrophorus humator. Lat night I had a high count of 4!

Moth wise, it was bare bones again-
  1. Clouded Drab- 2
  2. Hebrew Character
  3. Common Quaker
  4. Small Quaker

  1. Hi Matt
Could you confirm my blog is working now?? I'm sure the Moths will begin to start to pick up soon, only the last few times have I seen an improvement in numbers.

  2. Hi Ben,

I still can't see the main picture, but the blog is now back to normal and I can scroll down it! Don't know what you've done- but it works, I got a decet catch last night, post to follow........

  3. Look forward to the post! great! I'd somehow fudged the html coding, I will work on a fix for the top picture for IE, its a randomn header coding, where a different species is displayed everytime.
All the best and thanks for highlghting the problem!
