A pretty good night as the temperatures reamined relatively high and the strong wind subsided. No new macro species but a good list for the time of year. Last Sunday, a quick look around the Alder with Andy Banthorpe revealed this tiny leaf mine, now confirmed.
272 Bucculatrix cidarella
Another new species for the garden and a mine that has no doubt been overlooked. This species was first recorded in VC30 in 2010- but I suspect only because no one was looking for it before! The result- 11-10-11, Twin 15w Actinic/UV and Twin 25w FUL Actinic Skinners- 33 of 16 species-
