Ruddy Carpet!

Yes, everyone likes it when they get a new carpet! And what a stunner- not too many records in Bedfordshire either for this Nb species...... Apart from this, not too much to talk about as the trap was relatively empty. Not even a Large Nutmeg, which is a good thing I suppose.

  2. Hi Matt, nice one, are you trying to trump my Royal Mantle from yesterday ? If so I guess you win as that was two miles from my house and not in the garden unfortunately...yet

  3. Reckon I've got more chance of a White-throated Robin in my garden than one of those!

  4. Dean- a belter indeed- how's your ear BTW?

Andy- Beds wise Royal Mantle is a better tick. You could have 'planted' it in your trap, no one would have known.....

Mark- It's the best moth I've had this year, I too didn't see the W-t Robin. I might have had a chance 20 years ago.......when I lived a few miles away from where it was seen in Hartlepool!
Oh, well another 20 odd years to wait......
