At Last!

After watching what seemed like everybody else locally catching these over the last few years. Finally one turned up in my garden. It looked like the last chance for a while too, as from tonight the wind direction will swing round to become a strong northerly.
Migrant wise, I also trapped two Dark Sword-grass and a Diamond-back Moth.

  1. Nice one! You just had to get one. Next on the rares list a Four-spotted Footman...maybe next year now as the end is nigh and it is decidedly colder out there now. Twin actinic running just in case and really hoping for an MDJ or Dark Chestnut again.
    All the best
    Ben
ps. I must come up your way sometime and meet you guys. A drink in a local perhaps.

  2. ..................Or a mothing session in Home Wood. Hoping to have a go for Figure of Eight again, if I get time. I've had Merv, Dark and Chestnut this Autumn- but like you say it all ends for a while. My only real migrants I could get now which would be new are Scarce Bordered Straw and Pearly Underwing.
Cheers- will let you know if I go down the wood.........
