This year I seem to be doing much better on Micros. There are probably 2 reasons for this: 1) I'm looking out for them with much more scrutiny compared to last year. 2) The kids are out netting the hedge when they get home from school and have unearthed a fair few extra species.
1380 Phlyctaenia perlucidalis
A garden 1st for this local species, 25th June.
1445 Pempelia formosa
NFY- 25th June.
1415 Orthopygia glaucinalis
NFY- 26th June.
NFY- 26th June.
862 Juniper Webber Dichomeris marginella
Having never seen this moth before this year, I've now recorded it 9 times. Garden 1st, 27th June.
1001 Lozotaeniodes formosanus
One of my favourites, only the 2nd record- NFY 27th June.
1424 Endotricha flammealis
Very common in my garden with 40 recorded so far. NFY, 27th June.
937 Agapeta hamana
Another common Micro- NFY 28th June.
Some nice micros there Matt - I find it quite addictive but frustrating at times when they're not identifiable for whatever reason !
ReplyDelete...I'm not too keen on slicing and dicing. But I have made exceptions this year. Could be the thin end of the wedge! Mr. Manning helps out quite a lot too.
