11-12 June....

.....and after almost four years of regular trapping, I finally managed to trap a Scalloped Hazel. This moth has proved to be very elusive over the years, despite it regularly appearing on moth lists all over VC30.
The 11th proved to be a quite warm and slightly humid evening, though the lists are nowhere near the seasonal norm.

Scalloped Hazel
Although a bit worse for wear, a long awaited tick. New for the garden on 11th June.
