In my garden lists, it turned out that I had omitted three Macros and 27 Micros! There are still a few outstanding gen dets for 2017. But, at the time of writing this, my life totals are 382 Macros and 377 Micros, so a healthy total of 759 species; not bad considering I only started recording in 2009.
I have also switched my life lists from the limited Blogger pages to externally linked Google Sheets (tabs in the right hand column). I should have done this years ago, as it gives far more information and is much easier to edit. I'm glad I did it, but it was a bit of a saga, mainly due to the huge changes that have taken place in recent years. Taxonomic order, names and the switch from Bradley/Fletcher to the 'ABH 2013 Checklist' codes have certainly caused headaches!
In 2017, I recorded 481 species (475 Macro, 206 Micro) from 5518 records on 200 trap nights, down from 220 trap nights last year. June was my most productive month, with 262 species caught from 24 dates. Unsurprisingly, January was the least productive, with just three species from two dates.
The year's top ten most abundant species were-
73.291 Mythimna pallens Common Wainscot 900
