Still cold............

............and that's why I haven't bothered trapping since 2nd April. The 12th wasn't much better with only five moths caught. All I had in the way of macros was a late March Moth, Clouded Drab, Red Chestnut and this-

Garden Carpet
One day earlier than last year.

And from the 10th April-

 1342 Eudonia angustea
Flew into my workshop after dark.

 1361 Pyrausta aurata
Caught in a net by Louie in his Easter holiday.

Another 2.....13/04

The weather has cooled down a bit and so has the catch. After not trapping on 12th, I put the trap out last night. I was spurred on after netting a 1st for year day-flying micro, but my enthusiasm was stunted somewhat after recording just 5 moths this morning. At least 1 was new for the year........

All the small things........

Top: Garden Carpet, a very common visitor
Middle: Gold Fringe, actually a micro moth
Bottom: Yellow-barred Brindle, I know.....it's green!
So called because when they 1st hatch, they are actually yellow.
