Winds have died down and temperatures are up. This has lead to an increased catch over the last two days. Three new macros to add, but still no sign of the 200th micro for the year. The rest of the weekend and Monday looks good though, with a leaf-mining trip into Home Wood planned before the month's end.

Another night passes and another new one for the year turns up. Temperatures have been stable at around 14-9°C for the last few nights and so variety is still up. I'm now starting to 'run out' of species to see and the 250 Macro target looks pretty much unachievable at present............

Verging on the Ranunculus..........30/09

This is 1 of 2 Large Ranunculus (top & middle) found in the trap, this being the slightly darker of the 2. It was a very good night with record breaking traps for both Willow Beauty and Black Rustic. Along with the 2 L R's, another brand new one was the Brindled Green, (bottom) also found lurking under the egg boxes. The full run down is as follows;
