Just for the record my first record was 24th July and all being of similar size and shape. What ever it is, I think all are the same species- I just wish I had taken a few more photos of the ones earlier in the year.Broom Birderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09474943033132623669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4886179380130331778.post-8528317182095806052012-08-30T19:34:32.734+00:002012-08-30T19:34:32.734+00:00Yarrow is a good alternative possibility - still f...Yarrow is a good alternative possibility - still feel they are Plain Pug myself. Size is right for Yarrow and Plain, large for Shaded. Wingshape is affected by wear - and these are both worn individuals (the second picture is basically unidentifiable). Shaded should be well over by now, Yarrow flies a little earlier than Plain, and Plain should just be coming to end of flight period. Keep one and get it detted.Skevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05601888498478097564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4886179380130331778.post-68638520129068438852012-08-30T14:46:48.831+00:002012-08-30T14:46:48.831+00:00Based on wing shape, and the markings around the d...Based on wing shape, and the markings around the discal spot, I would definitely consider Yarrow Pug for both.

BillBilly Dykeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00840933193238325733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4886179380130331778.post-61083443043226968382012-08-30T05:40:02.336+00:002012-08-30T05:40:02.336+00:00Shaded Pug for both in my opinion, Plain has sligh...Shaded Pug for both in my opinion, Plain has slightly more rounded wing-tips.Bennyboymothmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16982443515789714821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4886179380130331778.post-92172642139498888882012-08-29T22:08:40.538+00:002012-08-29T22:08:40.538+00:00Plain PugPlain PugSkevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05601888498478097564noreply@blogger.com
